The Wdt (Weiss Dristribution Technique) tool is used to break up coffee ground agglomerations before extraction. This allows for a more efficient extraction of coffee oils and flavour.

The needle diameter and needle quantity are factors to watch out for. Coarser grounds will require 4 needles (0.8mm diamter) and finer grounds will require at least 8 needles (0.4mm diameter).

To use, simply add the coffee grounds into the portafilter, place a dosing funnel to prevent any spilling, and then stir the coffee with the wdt tool.
